Nominate 2SLGBTQIA+ Community Leaders

The Queer Resource Collective and The LGBTQ Integrated Health Coalition of Southern Arizona are accepting award nominations for the 12th Annual Statewide 2SLGBTQIA+ Integrated Health Conference, Let’s Get Better Together: A Quality Look at Healthcare. The Conference will be held on October 18th and 19th, 2023, at the Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino and Resort in Maricopa, Arizona.

Nominations are due by 11:59pm on Friday, 9/8/23. Awards will be given in these areas: 

  • Karen Chatfield Lifetime Legacy Award – This person has shown significant leadership for 10+ years in the areas of 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy.

  • Leadership in LGBTQ+ Health –  This person shown significant leadership for 5+ years in the areas of 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy.

  • Up-And-Coming Leader – This person has shown significant leadership in the last year in the areas of 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy.

  • Youth Leadership – This person is between the ages of 13-24 years and has shown significant leadership in the last year in the areas of 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy.

  • Pioneer in Service and Giving – This person is a community member, assisting in a volunteer capacity. This person demonstrated the ability to overcome system barriers, built connections, advocated, and paved new pathways for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals.

  • Champion for Change – This person or organization has shown significant leadership in bringing advocacy and awareness into the work space, helping make their workplace a safe environment which respects and supports 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals.

  • Doreen Nichols Women’s Health and Safety Award – This person has worked in raising awareness, creating safety, and improving health care conditions for gender and sexual minority women across the state. Please describe how the nominee has been a champion both within their organization and within the community assisting women of multiple intersectionality of their identity in all aspects of health and safety.

Awardees will be selected by The Let’s Get Better Together Award Committee and will be notified no later than 9/29/23. Recipients will be presented with their award on the second day of the conference, October 19, 2023, at the Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino and Resort in Maricopa, Arizona.
