Learn about self care and wellness practices, find definitions of self care and generate self care ideas and learn when to practice self care. This presentation was originally given Aug. 12, 2020, as part of the 2020 digital Let’s Get Better Together conference. Watch the entire presentation of Yvette M. Tucker, M.A.Ed and Stephanie A Earl, MAEd/AET, M.S. PSY, CPL.
Stephanie and Yvette define self care as an activity that you enjoy doing that helps to improve your mood, reduces anxiety, and improves your relationship with yourself and others. Self care isn’t a routine or activity that you’re faced to do, but something you want to do because you inherently enjoy doing it.
Stephanie and Yvette promote creating self care routines and ideas for activities that you can do to improve your own connection to wellness.
