The LGBTQ Integrated Health Coalition of Southern Arizona and the LGBTQ Consortium are accepting award nominations for the 7th Annual Statewide LGBTQ Integrated Health Conference. Do you have a colleague, friend, or leader you would like to honor? Help us recognize the leaders, advocates, and champions who work tirelessly to support LGBTQ communities across Arizona.
All are welcome to submit nominations.
Awards will be given in five areas:
1.) Karen Chatfield Lifetime Legacy Award – This person has shown significant leadership for 10+ years in the areas of LGBTQ advocacy
2.) Leadership in LGBTQ Health - This person shown significant leadership for 5+ years in the areas of LGBTQ advocacy
3.) Up-And-Coming Leader – This person has shown significant leadership in the last year in the areas of LGBTQ advocacy
4.) Youth Leadership – This person is between the ages of 13-24 years and has shown significant leadership in the last year in the areas of LGBTQ advocacy
5.) Pioneer in Service and Giving – This person is a community member, assisting in a volunteer capacity. This person demonstrated the ability to overcome system barriers, built connections, advocated, and paved new pathways for LGBTQ individuals.
6.) Champion for Change – This person has shown significant leadership in bringing advocacy and awareness into the work space, helping make their workplace a safe environment which respects and supports LGBTQ individuals
Nominations are due by 11:59pm on Friday, May 4, 2018. Nominees are selected by The let’s get better together award Committee. Awardees will be selected no later than May 14, 2018. Recipients will be presented with their award during the Awards Luncheon on Day 2 of the 7th Annual Conference on June 8, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ.
